Crossover Breakers booster set arrives for Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG

December 7, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Konami has released the Crossover Breakers booster set for Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game.  This new 60-card booster set brings three new Deck themes that changes what players can expect from the TCG.

As mentioned above, the Crossover Breakers booster set brings three new deck themes, which includes ‘Ryzeal’, ‘Maliss’ and ‘Ryu-Ge’ and provide new ways for Duelists to play.

The Ryzeal theme is a Thunder/Pyro theme that uses overcharged Level and Rank 4 Xyz Monsters to build an electrical loop – monsters overlay into Xyz Monsters, then detach materials to either add cards to the Duelist’s hand or to destroy an opponents card. Many of the effects of Ryzeal are open-ended so allow players to Summon and recharge their favourite Rank 4’s from throughout history.

The Maliss theme takes players down a digital rabbit hole to the underland Cyber World. Duelists will have to hire guides to hack their way through but there are several Maliss <P> and <Q> monsters (Pawns & Queens), plus the Maliss <C> (code) and Trap Cards.  The traps will be able to be used in the same turn they’re set and there are special benefits from the new boss Link Monster’s effect.

Finally, the Ryu-Ge theme will allow Duelists to combine Dinosaur, Sea Serpent and Wyrm monsters to connect realms and seek out the victorious Dragon in their Deck.  Alternatively, the three can be added to the Duelist’s existing Dinosaur, Sea Serpent, or Wyrm Deck to boost their champion calibre.

The Crossover Breakers booster set contains the following – 10 Ultra Rares, 10 Super Rares and 40 standard Rares. In a unique twist, half of the Standard Rares can also be pulled as Super Rares, 15 cards can be found as Collector’s Rares and several as Quarter Century Secret Rares.
