Dark dating thriller Cat Person gets a trailer

August 25, 2023 by Matt Rodgers

Rialto Pictures has released the first trailer for Cat Person, their dark-thriller based on Kristen Roupenian’s viral New Yorker short-story, which stars CODA‘s Emilia Jones and Succession‘s Nicholas Braun as a couple who share a brief relationship.

Cat Person premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, where we said “Emilia Jones and Nicholas Braun give full-throttle performances in this wildly uneven dramatic thriller” in our ★★★ review, which you can read here.

Directed by The Spy Who Dumped Me‘s Susanna Fogel and also starring Geraldine Viswanathan, Hope Davis, Michael Gandolfini, Liza Koshy, Fred Melamed, Isaac Powell, Isabella Rossellini and Donald Elise Watkins, you can check out the trailer below…

Follows the brief relationship between twenty-year-old sophomore college student Margot, and an older man Robert, who is a regular at the movie theater where Margot works.

Cat Person is released in the US on October 6th, 2023.
