David Oyelowo to star in Jacob Estes’ time travel thriller Only You from Blumhouse

April 20, 2017 by Ricky Church

After deciding to move into the television market with a Purge television series, Blumhouse has a new feature film lined up that will star Selma’s David Oyelowo. Per Deadline, he’ll be the lead in Only You, a time travel thriller that will will be written and directed by Jacob Estes.

Not much known is beyond the sci-fi setting, but Oyelowo will also serve as an executive producer alongside Couper Samuelson, Jeanette Volturno and Jay Martin. Blumhouse founder Jason Blum will also serve as one of the main producers on the film.

Blumhouse recently had a massive success with the horror film Get Out, Jordan Peele’s directorial debut. The film has grossed a U.S. domestic box office of $167.6 million, becoming the second-highest grossing horror film in the country after The Exorcist.

Oyelowo will next be seen in Amazon’s untitled Nash Edgerton directed film as well as the next entry in Paramount’s Cloverfield-verse, God Particle. He is also the voice of Imperial defector Agent Kallus in Star Wars Rebels and will reprise the role for the series’ fourth and final season.
