Doctor Who: The Third Doctor Adventures – The Imposters arrives from Big Finish

February 19, 2026 by Andrew Newton

Tim Treloar’s Third Doctor faces more adventures in The Third Doctor Adventures: The Imposters, a new full-cast audio drama from Big Finish Productions. In this latest adventure, the Third Doctor is joined by Sarah Jane and Liz, as they investigate the disappearance of some top-secret technology, superstar wrestlers, and knights from outer space.

Continuing his adventures on Earth, the Third Doctor joins  in recovering stolen, advanced technology. Meanwhile, Sarah Jane Smith is on her own adventure as she is convinced that one of her informants is leading her to a top-secret space tracking station. To add to the confusion, the implacable scientist Dr Elizabeth Shaw is wearing a metal helmet, wrapped in tin foil.

It’s up to the Doctor to solve a puzzle that involves a precocious schoolgirl, a Saturday night all-in wrestling star, a high-ranking military officer, the constellation of Centaurus, and a plot to control the Earth’s weather. Can the Doctor solve the puzzle and foil these plans without using his Venusian karate?

L to R: Lizzie Worsdell, Alan Barnes, Jon Culshaw, Samuel Clemens, Daisy Ashford, Sadie Miller, Tim Treloar, Miranda Barnes, Grace Darling, Gary Turner, Lara Lemon, Simon Kane, Mark Elstob

Jon Culshaw plays the fabulous Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, while Sarah Jane Smith and Liz Shaw are being played by Sadie Miller and Daisy Ashford, the daughters of original TV series actresses Elisabeth Sladen and Caroline John.
