Casting continues on Robert Rodriguez and James Cameron’s manga adaptation Alita: Battle Angel, with Eiza Gonzalez (From Dusk Till Dawn) and Mahershala Ali (Luke Cage) the latest additions to the film.
Rosa Salazar (Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials) is leading the cast as the titular Alita, an amnesiac cyborg possessing lethal martial arts skills, who becomes a bounty hunter and tackles criminals. Christoph Waltz (Spectre), Keean Johnson (Nashville), Jackie Earle Haley (Preacher) and Ed Skrein (Deadpool) are also on board to star.
Alita: Battle Angel is being directed by Rodriguez, with Cameron producing, and is set for release on July 20th 2018.
