Elizabeth Debicki joins Bad Robot’s God Particle

May 7, 2016 by Scott J. Davis

Originally published May 7, 2016. Updated April 14, 2018.

Variety is reporting that The Night Manager star Elizabeth Debicki is joining the cast of Bad Robot Productions’ new sci-fi film God Particle.

Debicki joins an ensemble that already includes David Oyelowo (Interstellar), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Concussion) and John Krasinski (13 Hours). However, Krasinki’s involvement is now in doubt after the actor signed on to play Jack Ryan in a new television series for Amazon.

The plot of the film reportedly “revolve around an American space station that, after an accident with a particle accelerator, suddenly finds that Earth has vanished altogether. Things get stranger when they then they pick up traces of another space station nearby.”

Directed by Julius Onah (The Girl is in Trouble), the film has been written by Oren Uziel (22 Jump Street) with rewrites by Doug Jung (Star Trek Beyond) and is set for release on February 24th, 2017.
