Emma Corrin and Jack O’Connell get steamy in Lady Chatterley’s Lover trailer

November 6, 2022 by Amie Cranswick

Netflix has debuted the first trailer and a poster for director Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre’s romantic drama Lady Chatterley’s Lover.

Based on D.H. Lawrence’s classic novel, the film stars Emma Corrin as Lady Constance Chatterley, a woman living an unhappy life of wealth and privilege until she begins an affair with the estate’s gamekeeper Oliver (Jack O’Connell), which leads her to a sexual awakening and struggling with the decision to follow her heart or stay with her husband and endure what is expected of her.

Check out the trailer below, along with some official promotional images…

Marrying Sir Clifford Chatterley, Connie’s life of wealth and privilege seems set as she takes the title of Lady Chatterley. Yet this idealistic union gradually becomes an incarceration when Clifford returns from the First World War with injuries that have left him unable to walk. When she meets and falls for Oliver Mellors, the gamekeeper on the Chatterley family estate, their secret trysts lead her to a sensual, sexual awakening. But as their affair becomes the subject of local gossip, Connie faces a life-altering decision: follow her heart or return to her husband and endure what Edwardian society expects of her.

Lady Chatterley’s Lover features a cast that includes Emma Corrin, Jack O’Connell, Joely Richardson, Matthew Duckett, Faye Marsay, and Ella Hunt.

Lady Chatterley’s Lover is set for release in cinemas on November 25th, and arrives on Netflix on December 2nd.
