Ezra Miller confirmed to play the Barry Allen version of the Flash in the DC Extended Universe

January 20, 2016 by James Garcia

Ever since Ezra Miller was announced as the actor to play the big screen version of The Flash in the DC Extended Universe, fans have debated which version of the character he’d be portraying. Some believed he’d be Wally West, thanks to the fact that Barry Allen is already played by Grant Gustin on the CW. Phil Lord, who co-wrote the film’s story with his frequent collaborator Chris Miller, said back in May that the film would “probably” focus on Barry Allen, and now that’s been confirmed.

The news was confirmed during Tuesday’s television special, DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League. Both Ezra Miller and DC Comics Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns provided a few character details, hinting at the fantastical things in store for the Scarlet Speedster’s cinematic debut.
