First look at Paul Dano’s The Batman prequel comic Riddler: Year One

July 24, 2022 by Amie Cranswick

Back in March it was announced that The Batman star Paul Dano would be returning to the character of The Riddler to write a six-issue comic book series for DC entitled Riddler: Year One, which serves as a prequel to this year’s Robert Pattinson-led film.

Well, as part of its San Diego Comic-Con reveals, DC has now shared a first-look preview of the comic and its interior artwork from Stevan Subic; check it out here…

This series explores the background of how accountant Edward Nashton went from a simple Gotham City nobody to becoming Batman’s nemesis, setting them on a collision course in the blockbuster feature film.

Riddler: Year One #1 goes on sale on October 25th.
