Free play weekend for WWI FPS Tannenberg begins on Steam today

PC gamers wishing to try something new this weekend can try out authentic WW1 FPS Tannenberg which is free to play on Steam this weekend.  Starting today players can journey to the Eastern Front and take part in some of the most brutal fighting of the first world war, and for those who like it publisher M2H are offering a 65% discount as part of the M2H publisher sale.

Tannenberg is the second title in their WW1 series and takes players to the massive battlefields of the Eastern Front. Players can take part in huge 64 player battles and work as part of a 4 man team to take control of key sectors of the battlefield, each of which offers a strategic advantage.

Players will be able to access over 50 weapons authentic to the time period and battle over 6 maps filled with lakes, forests, mountains and snowy plains, plus there are several game modes to try out, including Maneuver which captures the essence of warfare on the Eastern Front.

  • Play as Russian, Roumanian, Latvian, Austro-Hungarian, German and Bulgarian troops.

  • 64 player Maneuver game mode that allows players to capture strategic sectors in grand battles of movement.
  • Squad gameplay and AI bots for Maneuver so you can join epic battles at any time.
  • From artillery barrages and poison gas to the deadly heavy machine gun and hard-hitting rifle, Tannenberg provides many weapons to master.
