GalaxyTrail’s Freedom Planet arrives on Nintendo Switch

August 31, 2018 by Andrew Newton

GalaxyTrail’s smash hit title, Freedom Planet, is now available on the Nintendo Switch in North America and Europe thanks to publisher XSEED Games.  This fast paced combat driven platformer will see players battle giant robots, vicious insects and all manner of hostile aliens.  You can see more of the game in the launch trailer below…

Freedom Planet follows the adventure of Lilac, Carol or Milla (an unlockable character) as they take on hostile powers and alien attack forces to free the world of Avalice. Each character has their own playstyle and abilities which help them take on enemies and travel through the sprawling non-linear levels. All levels hide a multitude of secrets including alternate paths, hidden collectibles and speedrun opportunities.

Players can also experience an Adventure Mode with its fully voiced cutscenes that add over an hours worth of storyline or a Classic Mode that puts aside the whole story and focuses on just the fast paced action.

“The whole Marvelous family is thrilled to help bring GalaxyTrail’s indie sensation to Switch and new regions,” said Ken Berry, Executive Vice President at XSEED Games. “We’re always looking to expand our publishing library by working with incredibly talented developers like GalaxyTrail to help bring their games to a wider audience, and Freedom Planet is a fantastic title that’s a natural fit for Switch!”

Freedom Planet is available now on the Nintendo eShop.
