Godzilla vs Kong sequel sets rematch for 2024

July 1, 2022 by Ricky Church

Godzilla and King Kong are set to have their rematch as Warner Bros. has given a release date to the Godzilla vs Kong sequel. The Monsterverse film is scheduled for March 15th, 2024.

The sequel will be released almost three years exactly to last year’s Godzilla vs Kong, which saw the two Titans fight for domination and survival over the Earth. Despite being one of the first film’s in WB’s day-and-date release strategy on HBO Max during the pandemic, Godzilla vs Kong still went on to earn $468 million in theatres worldwide.

There is no additional information for the upcoming sequel other than it will star Dan Stevens (Beauty and the Beast) with Adam Wingard returning to the director’s chair.

While it is a long wait for the sequel, audiences have other projects from the MonsterVerse to look forward to. Netflix recently teased their Skull Island anime series from Brain Duffield while WandaVision‘s Matt Shakman is developing a currently untitled series on Godzilla and the world’s other Titan creatures.
