Gothic horror RPG Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night coming this June

May 3, 2019 by Andrew Newton

505 Games and developer Artplay have revealed that their gothic horror side scrolling action RPG Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will release digitally on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC on 18th June and on Nintendo Switch on 25th June with retail versions releasing on 21st and 28th June respectively.  A new trailer has been released showcasing all the advancements made during development and can be seen below…

In Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night players travel to 18th century England in the late 18th century to follow the story of Miriam, an orphan girl whose skin is slowly being turned to crystal thanks to the demonic curse from an alchemist.  After falling victim to the curse, Miriam awakes 10 years later where all Hell has literally broken loose, and to save humanity Miriam must kill the summoner Gebel and his demonic hordes.

This gothic horror RPG features:

  • A modern side scrolling action RPG experience from Koji Igarashi.
  • A huge game world.
  • Unlock a variety of spells and powers, find and upgrade different weapons and use special equipment to change Miriam’s appearance.
  • An original soundtrack from Michiru Yamane (Castlevania: Symphony of the Night) and Ippo Yamada (Resident Evil).
  • Secret playable characters are waiting to be discovered.

Look out for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night coming to PC and consoles this June.
