Hail to the King DLC bundle launches for Evil Dead: The Game

October 28, 2022 by Andrew Newton

Boss Team Games and Saber Interactive have released the latest update for Evil Dead: The Game on PC and consoles.  This new update, titled Hail to the King Bundle is a premium DLC that unleashes a range of themed content based on Army of Darkness, the third Evil Dead film in the series.  The DLC is available to Season Pass owners and also as a standalone purchase.  See what’s on offer in this bundle in the new trailer below…

The Hail to the King Bundle introduces a new Survivor character called the Blacksmith.  This hard hitting hybrid support hero features some warrior characteristics and is a master with all melee weapons, however he is unable to use ranged weaponry.  The Blacksmith has the very useful special ability of creating random weapons for the entire team with scrap collected on the battlefield, the more scrap collected means greater odds of creating a rarer item.

There’s a brand new single player side mission included that sees players take on the dead hordes at Kendar Castle after Kandar’s Witch opens a rift in time and space.  If fighting these hordes isn’t a big enough challenge players must also lead Henry the Red to the Witch herself and put her to the sword in order to save the entire universe.

Players will be able to find more enjoyment in killing Deadites with the arrival of two new weapons: the rapid-fire crossbow ranged weapon and the quarterstaff melee weapon.  The rapid-fire crossbow will allow fans of ranged weaponry to put Deadites down quicker while the heavy quarterstaff is good at stopping the evil hordes from getting too close by delivering a hard whack.

Last but by no means least are five new bonus outfits for Ash, Henry the Red and Lord Arthur, including a special Ash Halloween Outfit.

The Hail to the King Bundle is available now for Evil Dead: The Game on PC and console, priced £8.39/ $9.99.
