August 17, 2019 by Amie Cranswick

Epic Pictures has revealed a new poster and trailer for the upcoming horror Candy Corn ahead of its home entertainment release next month. Written and directed by Josh Hasty, the film follows Jacob (Nate Chaney), a social outcast who is murdered by local bullies, only for him to find himself resurrected by Dr. Death to seek revenge on those who wrong him; check them out here…

It’s the eve of Halloween in Grove Hill, Ohio. A traveling carnival is in town for the weekend and local outcast, Jacob Atkins, has been hired as one of the freaks in the event’s main attraction, “Dr. Death’s Side Show Spook House Spectacular.” When a group of bullies target Jacob for their annual hazing, things go too far and he winds up dead. Now, Dr. Death has resurrected Jacob as an unstoppable killer to seek revenge on those who wronged him.

Candy Corn is set for release on September 17th and features a cast that includes P.J. Soles (Halloween), Courtney Gains (Children of the Corn), Tony Todd (Candyman), Pancho Moler (3 from Hell), Sky Elobar (The Greasy Strangler), Caleb Thomas (The Terror of Hallow’s Eve), Lovlee Carroll (Anabolic Life), and Matt O’Neill (Edgar Allan Poe’s Lighthouse Keeper).
