Hilary Swank reacts to Netflix cancelling Away after one season

October 21, 2020 by Samuel Brace

Hilary Swank, the star of Netflix’s Away, has reacted to the news of its cancellation after just one season.

A Netflix original series starring Oscar winner Hilary Swank all about a mission to Mars should have been a slam-dunk but just months after Away‘s first season premiere, the platform decided to cancel the show.

What does star Hilary Swank have to say about the news? Well, the actress took to her Instagram to post a message: “Love and hope will always remain my ‘North Star’
It was an incredible journey my compadres.

“And thank YOU to all my extraordinary followers who watched and supported our beautiful show. Wish we were showing you Mars! Until the next one.”

Clearly, Netflix was not happy with the numbers for season one, which ended with the crew arriving at Mars and setting up a second season where they start exploring the planet.

Are you disappointed that we won’t be getting a second season of Away? Let us know on our social channels @FlickeringMyth…
