According to Variety, Jai Courtney (A Good Day to Die Hard, Terminator: Genisys) is wanted for the role of Deadshot on Warner Bros.’ upcoming supervillain ensemble Suicide Squad, which is being directed by David Ayer (Fury).
Courtney is the latest name to be linked to the project, with Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street) in talks for Harley Quinn, and Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club) reportedly in line to play The Joker. Jesse Eisenberg is reportedly in negotiations to reprise the role of Lex Luthor from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, with Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises) and Will Smith (After Earth) also on Warner’s radar.
Suicide Squad is set for release on August 5th 2016.
