James Wan looking forward to showing “a really different, cool, badass side” of Aquaman

March 27, 2016 by Gary Collinson

During an appearance at WonderCon – where he debuted the new trailer for his horror sequel The Conjuring 2 – director James Wan spoke to IGN about his upcoming DC superhero movie Aquaman, which will see Jason Momoa reprising his role from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League.

“The kind of filmmaker that I am, you know, even my darker horror films generally are still very fun, and I think that’s important,” states Wan. “I think Aquaman is a character that is, you know, a lot of people have made fun of over the years, and I just think it’s fun to actually show a really different, cool, badass side to this character, but at the same time, let’s not forget to have fun with it.”

Are you excited about Wan’s take on Aquaman? Did the brief tease in Batman v Superman leave you desperate to see more of Momoa’s King of Atlantis? Let us know in the comments below…
