Jamie Lee Curtis bids farewell to Laurie Strode as filming wraps on Halloween Ends

February 23, 2022 by Matt Rodgers

The definitive scream-queen Jamie Lee Curtis has said a “bittersweet” farewell to the iconic character of Laurie Strode as filming wrapped on the trilogy-capping Halloween Ends.

The Knives Out actor took to Instagram to post a series of reflective photos, including this Laurie Strode 4 Ever tattoo, heralding the end of a career defining role by adding “A bittersweet END for me on the Halloween movies. I’ve made great friends and have collaborated with wonderful artists on these three movies and today my part in the film has been completed and with it the END for me of this trilogy.”

Curtis has been playing the role of Laurie Strode since 1978 for the original Halloween movie, which was also her feature film debut, and she would later reprise the role in 1981’s Halloween II, 1998’s Halloween H20: 20 Years Later, and 2002’s Halloween: Resurrection before returning once again in Blumhouse and Universal’s reboot trilogy, which has so far grossed almost $400M worldwide.

The Halloween sequel trilogy is directed by David Gordon Green from scripts by Green and Danny McBride and features Jamie Lee Curtis (Laurie Strode), Judy Greer (Karen), Andi Matichak (Allyson), Jibrail Nantambu (Julian), Kyle Richards (Lindsey Wallace), Nancy Stephens (Nurse Marion), Charles Cyphers (Sheriff Brackett) Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney (The Shape).

Halloween Ends is scheduled for release on 14th October 2022.
