Jodie Whittaker returns for Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor Adventures – Vampire Weekend in July

April 26, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Fans of the Thirteenth Doctor will be happy to hear that The Thirteenth Doctor Adventures: Vampire Weekend, the first of 12 full-cast audio dramas starring Jodie Whittaker and Mandip Gill will be arriving in July.  This first box set will be Jodie Whittaker’s Big Finish debut, alongside Mandip Gill as the Doctor’s companion Yasmin Khan.

In Vampire Weekend by Tim Foley, Yaz and the Doctor have been travelling in time and space for some time, while the Doctor is quite content with that, Yaz finds herself missing her friends back in Sheffield and the pair return to Earth to attend Gina’s hen night. There’s just two problems with Yaz’s catch up opportunity, the first being the Doctor is tagging along, the second is the small issue of the arrival of an ancient enemy, a vampire.

Accompanying Jodie Whittaker and Mandip Gill are Daniel Walford as Daryl, Anna Crichlow as Zoya and Kat, Jeremy Ang Jones as Mason and Mandi Symonds as Gina’s mum.

Writer Tim Foley said: “Vampire Weekend is a darkly comic manor-house mystery – think Bodies Bodies Bodies or a northern Cluedo, smushed with a hen party you’re trying to get out of. I hope this tale captures the Thirteenth Doctor’s madcap, fast-paced energy – right before she’s launched into a brand-new series like a technicolour pinball. Enjoy the jokes, the mini quiche, and the paranoia. But watch out! There’s a mysterious bloodsucker on the loose…”

The Thirteenth Doctor Adventures: Vampire Weekend is available to pre-order now for £9.99 as a download or £11.99 for the download and limited edition CD. Listeners can also pre-order a multibuy bundle of all 12 Thirteenth Doctor Adventures for £102 for the download and £126 for the limited edition CDs.
