JRPG Noahmund coming to Steam later this year

May 31, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Spanish developer Estudio Àbrego have announced that a brand new JRPG titled Noahmund will be arriving on Steam later this year.  Inspired by fan favourites Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy Tactics, Noahmund will blend real time action with a tactical grid backed up by an atmospheric soundtrack

Noahmund takes players to Feros, a land in the midst of a great war.  Following the story of Galina Angstroud, an agent of Shinn, and her loyal guardian, Berani Valenti, players will set out on a quest to destroy a powerful weapon and end the war between the north and south.

The game features a tactical grid system that makes combat much more straightforward and much easier to pull off flanking maneuvers and traps.  This comes in especially useful as combat takes place in real time and the wrong decision can easily turn the tide of battle.

The game features:

  • An engaging storyline filled with deep mythology, unique characters and menacing enemies.
  • A real time tactical combat system where proper positioning and timing are critical to victory.
  • Explore vast worlds filled with dungeons and puzzles featuring a classic board game node-based exploration system.
  • Upgrade your characters and learn abilities to defeat your enemies.
  • A beautiful, award-winning soundtrack.

“We’re thankful to have played video games starting at an early age. Games were instrumental in helping us better understand the nature of emotions, courage, and character. Growing up, some of our best friends were those we met through our shared love of video games. It’s incredibly satisfying to be able to give back to current generations by developing and releasing our own title, Noahmund.”

Noahmund will be available on Steam later in the year.
