Keanu Reeves interested in playing Doctor Strange?

October 14, 2014 by Anghus Houvouras

Keanu Reeves set the internet ablaze this afternoon while participating in a Reddit AMA for his new film John Wick. One of his fans asked a very interesting question…

“Have you considered joining the Marvel universe? There are a lot of rumors running around you taking the role of Doctor Strange. I just wanted to say that nothing would make me happier than seeing you take it. You would be perfect.”

Reeves’ response was far more encouraging that one would expect, responding with:

“You know, I just (cough) …I just recently started to hear about that. I didn’t grow up reading the character of Doctor Strange, but the past few days, the people have been telling me about the character, and I have to call my Agent!”

There’s been a lot of talk about Marvel being in final negotiations with actors to play the role of The Sorcerer Supreme, but if Keanu Reeves is interested than this party might have gotten a whole lot more interesting.

What do you think about Keanu as Doctor Strange?
