Adam Sandler’s Happy Gilmore 2 has added another name to the anticipated sequel. Per Deadline Scott Mescudi, better known as the rapper Kid Cudi, will star alongside Sandler and the returning cast in the film.

Released in 1996, Happy Gilmore focused on a former hockey player who has a talent and unorthodox method of playing golf. He enters into several championships to in order to win enough money to stop foreclosure on his grandmother’s house, but butts heads with professional golfer Shooter McGavin who does everything he can to ruin Happy’s golf career.

Though known for his music, Kid Cudi has been starting a film career in the past few years. He has recently starred in Trap, Knuckles and Silent Night.

Returning for the sequel with Sandler are Julie Bowen as Happy’s girlfriend Virginia Venit and Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGavin. Also starring is musician and rapper Bad Bunny, who has also begun a film career of his own after starring in Bullet Train and F9: The Fast Saga with Sandler teasing a possible cameo from NFL player Travis Kelce.

Happy Gilmore 2 is written by Sandler and Tim Herlihy with Kyle Newacheck directing. Sandler and Herlihy are producing while Dennis Dugan, the original film’s director, will executive produce.
