Learn more about Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO with roster reveal trailer

Bandai Namco has released a new video for the upcoming DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO, coming to Xbox Series X/S, Playstation 5 and PC on the 11th October.  In this new video (see below), the game’s producer, Jun Furutani, shares more details on the Episode Battle and Custom Battle modes and also reveals a final roster consisting of a whopping 182 characters.

A roster consisting of 182 characters is a whopping great amount of characters for players to choose from, in fact this is the most amount of characters there has ever been in a Budokai Tenkaichi game.  Many of these characters come from the following films and series:

  • DRAGON BALL SUPER: Cabba, Cabba Super Saiyan, Cabba Super Saiyan 2, Frost, Toppo and Frieza Force Soldier Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan movie: Broly (Z), Broly (Z) Super Saiyan, Broly (Z) Legendary Super Saiyan
  • Cooler’s Revenge and The Return of Cooler movies: Cooler, Cooler Final Form and Metal Cooler
  • Super Android 13 movie: Android 13 and Fusion Android 13
  • Dead Zone movie: Super Garlic Jr.
  • The World’s Strongest movie: Dr. Wheelo
  • Lord Slug movie: Lord Slug and Lord Slug Giant Form
  • Tree of Might movie: Turles
  • Bojack Unbound movie: Bojack and Full Power Bojack
  • Wrath of the Dragon movie: Hirudegarn and Tapion
  • Fusion Reborn movie: Janemba, Super Janemba, Super Gogeta (Z)
  • DRAGON BALL: Goku (Teen)

Also revealed are details on Episode Battle and Custom Battle modes.  In the former, players will relive many of the epic battles from the anime with eight different characters – Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Jiren, Future Trunks, Goku Black and Frieza.  In Custom Battles, players will be able to experience some of the original scenarios created by the developers and create their own dream scenario with pre-battle and post-battle cutscenes or specific effects and the characters they want.

Look out for DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO arriving on Playstation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on 11th October.  Pre-orders are available for the Digital and Ultimate Editions, with those who do gaining a three day early access starting on 7th October and the new playable character, Goku (Mini) from the upcoming DRAGON BALL DAIMA anime.
