Letitia Wright joins Death on the Nile

April 19, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Black Panther and Avengers star Letitia Wright has become the latest addition to the cast of Death on the Nile, the upcoming sequel to Kenneth Branagh’s Agatha Christie adaptation Murder on the Orient Express.

As per THR, Wright is set to portray the key role of Rosalie Otterbourne, one of the lead suspects in the tale, which sees Poirot (Branagh) investigating a murder on a luxurious Nile Cruise. The character was previously portrayed by Olivia Hussey in the 1978 film adaptation.

In addition to Wright and the returning Branagh (who once again directs), Death on the Nile will also feature Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), and Armie Hammer (Call Me By Your Name).

BAFTA Rising Star winner Wright has been confirmed to reprise her Marvel role as Shuri in Avengers: Endgame and Black Panther 2, while she’s also recently signed on to star in a remake of the French comedy drama Le Brio, along with the sci-fi romance Hold Back the Stars opposite Star Wars‘ John Boyega.

Death on the Nile is set for release on October 2nd 2020.
