Mars or Die! arrives on Steam

Indie developer 34BigThings has announced the release of their latest title Mars or Die! on Steam.  This roguelite meets tower defence action packed strategy will see players set out to conquer the Red Planet for the Supremely Illuminated Leader.

Mars or Die! will see two intrepid explorers sent to Mars aboard the Interplanetary Spacecraft FORTITVDO VIII  in order to conquer the planet for their Supremely Illuminated Leader.  Mixing key elements from tower defence and roguelite games, players will be required to fight off hordes of the red Martians, build defensible outposts and expand their regime to the stars.

The game’s heroes are Major B. Bob, VI Assault Division, a marksman completely devoted to planetary conquest and Scout B. Bean, Engineering Corps, competent with a personal Energy Repulsion Shield and the go to guy for construction.

The game features:

• Switch between two characters for some fast dual stick action.
• Challenging – Gather -> Build -> Explore -> Fight -> Upgrade. None of these steps is easy!
• Long lasting mission mode – Excel with primary and secondary objectives in 9 missions
• Endless Mode – Usually just a gimmick to add “cheap” content, Endless Mode is where Mars or Die really shines!
• Humor – Follow religiously the incoherent babbling of your Glorious Leader!
• Upgrades – Upgrade every structure, character or support feature to last even longer!
