With Paul Greengrass’ latest film The Lost Bus premiering in theatres today, Apple TV+ has released a new trailer for the Matthew McConaughey and America Ferrera-led survival thriller.
The Lost Bus is based on true events focusing on the California wildfires in November 2018 which sees McConaughey as a school bus driver who is sent to pick up nearly two-dozen children from the spreading wildfire. The film was based on the non-fiction book Paradise: One Town’s Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire by Lizzie Johnson with the screenplay written by Greengrass and Brad Ingelsby.
The film will have a limited release in select theatres beginning today with a premiere on Apple’s streaming service on October 3rd. Starring alongside McConaughey and Ferrera are Yul Vazquez, Ashlie Atkinson and Spencer Watson. Watch the trailer below…
“The Lost Bus” is a white-knuckle ride through one of America’s deadliest wildfires, as a wayward school bus driver (Academy Award-winner Matthew McConaughey) and a dedicated school teacher (Emmy, SAG and Golden Globe Award-winner America Ferrera) battle to save 22 children from the terrifying inferno.
The Lost Bus arrives in select cinemas on September 19th, and premieres on Apple TV+ on October 3rd.
