Meet the first of the Steel Hunters in Hunter Stories lore video

February 6, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Wargaming has released the first lore video for Steel Hunters, their upcoming free-to-play, PvPvE shooter with futuristic mechs.  This new video provides the backstory for the soldier who would become the metal giant called Razorside.  Watch the first lore video below…

This first video of Hunter stories puts the spotlight on Jason Miller Jr., a US Marine renowned for his skill and courage prior to undergoing Hunter Genesis.  During the apocalyptic events of MayDay Omega he turned his back on the world order to help those in danger, and it was this selfless act that presented him with the choice of becoming a Hunter or witness his followers’ demise.

With Steel Hunters, journey to a futuristic world where Corporations and Factions battle for a valuable extraterrestrial resource using big mechs called Hunters.  These giant mechs are equipped with powerful weaponry to create formidable combat machines and each has their own distinct playstyles, ability kits and progression systems that will allow for a variety of tactics to be played out on the battlefield.

In battle, players will take control of these nearly unstoppable machines and will be able to use the terrain to their advantage. Players will be able to either smash through buildings to ambush the enemy or use structures as cover until they collapse under a barrage of fire.

Look out for Steel Hunters coming to Steam soon.
