Michaela Coel gets deserved recognition as The Crown dominates 2021 SAG Awards TV nominations

February 5, 2021 by EJ Moreno

After the shocking, yet not surprising by their standards, snub of Michaela Coel at the Golden Globes, the Screen Actors Guild Awards is here to clean up the mess.

The television nominations for the 2021 SAG Awards are here, and the line-up features some fresh faces, expected favorites, and a lot of The Crown. Disney+ series The Mandalorian earned a nomination for its stunt team, while genre series Lovecraft Country saw nominations in stunts and drama series ensemble.

And Netflix’s The Crown took five nominations, joining the streaming service’s nine other nominations. Newcomer Bridgerton, old faithful Ozark, and smash-hit The Queen’s Gambit also saw nominations for their acting.
