New Doctor Who: The Fourth Doctor audio adventures coming March 2025

October 10, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Fans of Big Finish’s The Fourth Doctor Adventures rejoice for a new series has been announced to arrive in March 2025.  The Fourth Doctor Adventures: The Hellwood Inheritance will continue the Fourth Doctor and Leela’s adventures through space and time and will feature two exciting new stories.

Tom Baker and Louise Jameson star in the first box set of the new series as the Fourth Doctor and Leela as they embark on two new adventures – The Hellwood Inheritance and The Memory Thieves.

In The Hellwood Inheritance (written by Alan Barnes) the TARDIS arrives in what appears to be the British countryside, but when they are suddenly chased by a headless knight they discover they are in the grounds of Hellwood Manor, the first safari park for ghosts.  When the pair are mistaken for parapsychical investigators they are shown the mysterious ‘ghost catcher’ device that has made the whole project possible.  But can this device really catching ghosts or is something more sinister happening?

The second adventure, The Memory Thieves (by Phil Mulryne) sees the TARDIS arrive on the colony world of New Pasithea, a planet once at peace but now in chaos after strange electric pulses caused memory loss in people.  As the pair look into their surroundings they uncover reports of monsters and the mysterious ‘Abeyance’.  Can the Doctor and Leela help the colonists or will they also suffer from a lapse of memory?

Tom Baker and Louise Jameson are joined in these new audio adventures by Tamzin Outhwaite (EastEnders), Rosalie Craig (The Serpent Queen), Rosie Day (Outlander), Richard James (Space Precinct) and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Wednesday).

Doctor Who – The Fourth Doctor Adventures: The Hellwood Inheritance is now available to pre-order from the Big Finish website for £24.99 for the 3-disc Collector’s Edition and digital download, or £19.99 for the download only.
