New gameplay video released for mobile AR title Ghostbusters World

September 23, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Sony Pictures Consumer Products, Ghost Corps and publisher FourThirtyThree Inc. have released a new gameplay video for the upcoming map-based AR mobile game Ghostbusters World.  This new video provides a first look at the PvP and Story modes that the game will offer at launch.  You can check out the new video below…

With Ghostbusters World players are tasked with battling and capturing hundreds of ghosts that have invaded our streets from all the different parts of the Ghostbusters franchise, including the films, TV shows, comic books, video games and even the theme parks, plus there’s plenty of new ghost types unique to this game.

Once ghosts have been captured they can be trained, teams can be assembled and battles can take place against other players in asynchronous PVP battles.  However, for those who don’t like PvP battles, players can also take part in their own personal adventure in the single player story mode with artwork and story from those behind the IDW comic series.

Available worldwide in late 2018, Ghostbusters World includes skill-based single-player AR battle mechanics and RPG-style multiplayer mode. The game allows players to battle and capture hundreds of ghosts from all dimensions of the franchise, including the films, TV shows, comic books, theme parks, and video games as well as new ghosts unique to Ghostbusters World. Assemble your team, train ghosts, gear up, face off in asynchronous PVP battles, and try not to get slimed.

Ghostbusters World will be available on mobile devices later this year.
