New teammates arrives in Tower of God: New World

February 12, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Netmarble has released a new in-game update for their collectible RPG Tower of God: New World.  This latest update brings two new teammates to the roster of playable characters and several limited-time events to enjoy.

This new update brings SSR+ [Master of the Cage] Yama (Blue Element, Tank, Fisherman) to the Tower.  Yama, a Slayer of FUG and King of the Canines, is a tank who is capable of holding the frontlines to create attack opportunities for allies.  He has knockback, Fear Immunity and benefits from dual aggressive effect thanks to his pull-in and Provocation skills.

Joining Yama is SSR [Fallen Wings] Cassano (Red Element, Warrior, Fisherman).  Cassano (also known as the Devil’s Right Arm) uses his left arm to pull enemies into a symmetrical position and launch them into the air.  He is able to use his Passive skill to continuously reduce their energy.

There are also several events available, all of which run through to 26th February. These include:

  • Anyway, Happy New Year! – FUG’s New Year’s Fitness Competition – includes a special story and players can clear free stages to earn a selection of rewards, including SSR+ Tower’s Blessing Break Stone, Revolution Ore and more at the Event Exchange Shop.
  • Yama Release Celebration Events – These include a Special Summon, Check-in, Boost Missions and TapTap Plus, allowing players the chance to earn Yama.
  • Sweet Sugar Shock Event – collect special ‘Heart Sprinkles’ and exchange them for SSR+ Soulstones, SSR Soulstones and [S] Equipment Selection Chest.

Other new content includes the addition of two new Ignition Weapons, Mago and Bari and a new costume for [Master of the Cage] Yama.

Players can also participate in the first season of Alliance Fleet Battle which is available until 23rd February.  Players will be assigned a Floating Ship to fight against other alliances.  This will reward with various Growth Resources in the Alliance Fleet Battle’s ranking rewards.

Log on to Tower of God: New World on mobile devices now and take part in the new events.
