New trailer for disaster thriller Greenland starring Gerard Butler and Morena Baccarin

With a little over a week on go until its release, STX Films has revealed a new trailer for director Ric Roman Waugh’s disaster thriller Greenland which follows estranged couple John (Gerard Butler) and Allison (Morena Baccarin) who along with their young son, try to seek sanctuary as a comet hurtles towards Earth, threatening a global apocalypse; watch the new trailer here…

A family fights for survival as a planet-killing comet races to Earth. John Garrity (Gerard Butler), his estranged wife Allison (Morena Baccarin), and young son Nathan make a perilous journey to their only hope for sanctuary. Amid terrifying news accounts of cities around the world being leveled by the comet’s fragments, the Garrity’s experience the best and worst in humanity while they battle the increasing panic and lawlessness surrounding them. As the countdown to global apocalypse approaches zero, their incredible trek culminates in a desperate and last-minute flight to a possible safe haven.

Greenland is set for release on December 18th and features a cast that also includes David Denman, Hope Davis, Roger Dale Floyd, Andrew Bachelor, Merrin Dungey, Holt McCallany, and Scott Glenn.
