New trailer for Project Hail Mary starring Ryan Gosling

November 18, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

Amazon MGM Studios has released a new trailer for Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s sci-fi adventure Project Hail Mary.

Based on Andy Weir’s 2021 novel of the same name, the film stars Ryan Gosling as Ryland Grace, a science teacher who loses his memory after being launched into space, light years from home, on a mission to save Earth. But as it slowly starts to return, he uses his scientific knowledge and his unexpected new friendship to help save humanity.

Joining Gosling in the cast are Sandra Hüller, Lionel Boyce, Ken Leung, and Milana Vayntrub. Watch the trailer below…

Science teacher Ryland Grace (Ryan Gosling) wakes up on a spaceship light years from home with no recollection of who he is or how he got there. As his memory returns, he begins to uncover his mission: solve the riddle of the mysterious substance causing the sun to die out. He must call on his scientific knowledge and unorthodox ideas to save everything on Earth from extinction… but an unexpected friendship means he may not have to do it alone.

Project Hail Mary arrives in cinemas on March 20th.
