Vertigo Releasing has shared a trailer for The Surfer, the psychological thriller from director Lorcan Finnegan which stars Nicolas Cage as a father who finds himself getting drawn into an escalating conflict after being humiliated by locals while surfing with his son.
Joining Cage in the cast are Julian McMahon, Nicholas Cassim, Miranda Tapsell, and Alexander Bertrand. Watch the trailer below…
A man returns to the idyllic beach of his childhood to surf with his son, but is humiliated by a group of powerful locals and drawn into a conflict that rises with the punishing heat of the summer and pushes him right to his breaking point.
The Surfer is set for release on May 2nd in the US, and on May 9th in the UK.
