New trailer revealed for Call of Duty: WWII Resistance Community Event

January 20, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Call of Duty: WWII players are being called to battle in the new Resistance Community Event set to kick off on the 23rd January.  The event will run until the 27th February and feature free content including a new Resistance Division, new weapons and uniforms and new limited time game modes.  Plus there’s plenty of opportunities to earn double XP, Armoury Credits and more on a variety of game modes and Special Orders.  A new trailer for the event has been released and can be seen below…

All players will have access to the new Resistance Division from the beginning of the event.  This new Division consists of civilians from around Europe who stood up to oppose the German war machine and players will have access to skills such as the new Tactical Knife Skill and the ability to scramble enemy maps.  The Resistance Division also has access to the new 9,, SAP Pistol.

Captain Butcher also makes a return from the front lines with a variety of underground weapons, uniforms and equipment for players to obtain.  Located in the HQ, Captain Butcher can be visited for new Resistance Supply Drops, sign up for Contracts and complete Resistance Collections which can be used to obtain special Resistance themed variants of the Orso SMG, the Volkssturmgewehr Assault Rifle and the Combat Knife.

When it comes to the limited time game modes then you are in for a treat as this community event introduces ‘Prop Hunt’.  This is a fun little party mode game where players will be split into two teams, one will be able to disguise themselves as objects scattered throughout the map whilst the others will need to find them.  If ever you’ve watched Vanoss play Prop Hunt on G-mod then you will know how fun this mode can be. The event will also see the return of the classic Call of Duty Demolition mode that will see players spearhead an assault to plant a bomb and defend it.

Make sure you go back to the frontlines with the Call of Duty: WWII Resistance Community Event starting next week and running until the 27th February.
