Occult horror game Night Book launching this month

July 14, 2021 by Andrew Newton

Wales Interactive has announced that their latest horror title, Night Book, will release on Xbox One, Series S/X, Playstation 4 & 5, PC, Nintendo Switch and iOS on 27th July.  A new announcement trailer for this upcoming live-action, supernatural horror can be seen below….

Night Book is an entirely live-action title filmed remotely during lockdown following the story of Loralyn, a pregnant translator working from home.  With her husband away and her unwell father upstairs, Loralyn must make numerous decisions that will either place her family in danger or keep them safe.  There are multiple pathways and endings to discover so plenty of replay value.

The close-quarters filming and a great cast, including Julie Dray (Cyberpunk 2077, Avenue 5) and Colin Salmon (Resident Evil, Arrow, Die Another Day), helps ramp up the tension of this supernatural horror.

“Every movie is different but working on Night Book was a truly unique experience. Shooting entirely under COVID restrictions meant that every assumption about how to make a movie had to be reconsidered. The project was shot entirely over Zoom with some scenes taking place across three countries simultaneously, with the actors setting up all their own camera kits and props. It was a real honour to work on such an unusual project with so many talented people, and I hope everyone has as much fun playing Night Book as I did making it,” said Alex Lightman, Night Book director.

Night Book arrives on PC, consoles and iOS on 27th July.  Pre-orders are available for PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch through the Nintendo eShop.
