Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap trailer brings more orcs to the slaughter

January 28, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Robot Entertainment has announced the release of Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap, the latest in the beloved Orcs Must Die! series.  This fifth game of the franchise, available on Steam, Epic Games Store and Xbox Series X|S, brings endless replayability killing hordes of orcs with up to three friends.  Watch the launch trailer below…

In Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap, the orcs are back and it’s up to players to stop them in their tracks with more weapons, traps and abilities.  Players will step into the role of a powerful War Mage and defend the Rift from the masses of relentless orcs alone or with up to four friends.  Set the traps before the orcs get through, upgrade them and use their Mage’s unique weapons and abilities to ensure that this chaotic horde doesn’t get through to the Rift.

With the latest title in the franchise, players can experience a deeper progression system as their War Mage becomes stronger with every battle. There is a much expanded level variety, some with a vast outdoor fantasy environment.  Just like previous games, the action takes place in a third-person perspective but has been enhanced so that the physics are more spectacular.

Features:

  • The game is designed to adjust to the amount of players to ensure a balanced game.
  • New War Mages, each with their own unique weapons, abilities, traps, personality and playstyle.
  • No two runs are the same due to random buffs and debuffs that affect stats or traps, environmental factors and more.
  • Experience enhanced combat with heroic prowess combined with ingenious traps.
  • Crazy physics-based interactions and ragdoll effects.
  • Stays true to the humour and charm of the series.

Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap is available now on Steam, Epic Games Store and Xbox Series X|S.  Game Pass subscribers also have access to the title as a day one download.
