Orlando Bloom pushes himself to the limit in trailer for boxing drama The Cut

August 7, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

Altitude Films has released a trailer and images for director Sean Ellis’ (Anthropoid) psychological sports drama The Cut.

Orlando Bloom dusts off his gloves some 21 years after The Calcium Kid to star as a former boxing champion who finds his reality unravelling as he pushes himself through an intensive program while training for his last shot at redemption.

Joining Bloom in the cast are Caitríona Balfe and John Turturro. Check out the trailer below…

After a career-ending defeat, a former champion trains for redemption – but as obsession takes hold and reality unravels, he may be spiraling into something far more terrifying.

The Cut is set for release on September 5th.
