Paul Bettany says WandaVision’s ending will make fans look at the MCU in a “whole new light”

January 26, 2021 by Samuel Brace

Paul Bettany, the star of WandaVision, says that the show’s ending will make fans look at the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a brand new way.

Episode four of WandaVision will debut on Disney+ this Friday, with the show’s mystery slowly starting to unfold as we are drip-fed more intriguing details about whatever bizarre situation Wanda and Vision have gotten into.

It will all pay off in a big way, however, says Vision actor Paul Bettany, who has told Lights, Camera, Pod, that the series’ ending will be very rewarding and put the MCU in a whole new light for fans:

“I think they’re going to be massively surprised by the end of the show. I really think people are going to be like, ‘Oh my God!’ And they’re going to look at the MCU in a whole new light, and also have a much deeper understanding of what direction it’s moving.”

WandaVision is certainly great fun and something very different from Marvel. It’s going to be great to dive deeper into the madness over the next several weeks and discover just what is happening to our two heroes and the seemingly idyllic world around them.

Marvel Studios’ captivating new series WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany and marks the first series from Marvel Studios streaming exclusively on Disney+. The series is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision—two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

WandaVision features a cast that includes Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Paul Bettany (Vision), Kat Dennings (Darcy Lewis), Randall Park (Agent Jimmy Woo), Teyonah Parris (Empire) as Monica Rambeau, and Kathryn Hahn (Bad Moms) as Agnes.
