Paul McGann is back for more Doctor Who: The Eighth Doctor Adventures with Causeway

November 19, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Paul McGann stars as the Eighth Doctor again in The Eighth Doctor Adventures: Causeway, a brand-new full-cast audio adventure box set available from Big Finish Productions. This new box set contains some of the greatest challenges for the Eighth Doctor and his companions, as they venture into unknown territory.

Causeway sees the return of Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor, along with his companions, Charley Pollard (India Fisher) and Lady Audacity Montague (Jaye Griffiths). These new adventures take them to a distant planet in the 56th century, and then back to Earth where a shadowy organisation has been manipulating time:

‘Lost Amongst the Stars’ by Rochana Patel – In this new adventure, the Doctor takes Charley and Audacity to a planet in the far future, where an exploration team has discovered an abandoned city. However, the city is filled with dangers, from warring insectoid species to deadly spores. Have Charley’s dreams of travelling through time and space turned into a nightmare?

‘The Time You Never Had’ is a two-part adventure by Tim Foley and takes the Doctor and his companions to Copenhagen to investigate a shadowy organisation known as Causeway. This organisation has been present throughout their adventures and is responsible for manipulating time for their own purposes.

From L to R: Andrew Wincott, Henrietta Wolfmountain, Poppy Miller, and Jaye Griffiths

Causeway’s guest cast includes Richard Hope as the enigmatic Silurian traveller Mr Barabbas, Nicholas Khan, Bee Menabny, Robert Whitelock, Obioma Ugoala, Andrew Wincott, Poppy Miller, and Henrietta Wolfmountain.
