Psychological horror game Infliction coming to consoles later this year

July 25, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Caustic Reality and Blowfish Studios have announced that they will be releasing their psychological horror game, Infliction, on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch towards the end of the year.  A new trailer can be seen below showing the darkness that haunts a suburban family.

Infliction is set within an average normal looking house in suburbia, but it’s a home filled with tragedy and heartbreaking secrets.  Players will journey through the once happy home and piece together the different parts of the puzzle to solve the mystery behind the harrowing events that took place there.  The journey will not be so easy for those brave enough to enter, as they will need to survive encounters with a dark entity.

The house is filled with messages hidden in household objects, artwork and other items of domestic life and clues can be uncovered to unlock new discoveries and pathways.  However, the malevolent entity is always seeking its next prey and players will need to hide beneath beds to avoid the evil presence or stun it using light sources such as camera flashes.

“Infliction explores fears that manifested after my wife and I started a family,” said Clinton McCleary, Caustic Reality founder and Mission Designer at Blowfish Studios. “I set out to create a horror experience grounded in real-world problems that resonates with players and am looking forward to scaring everyone when we unleash it on consoles later this year.”

Infliction will be available digitally via the Microsoft Store, Playstation Store and Nintendo eShop later this year.
