With less than two weeks to go until the release of R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead, Tubi has shared a poster and trailer for the upcoming feature adaptation of Stine’s short story from the 1999 children’s horror collection Nightmare Hour.
Written and directed by Jem Garrard, the film follows Sam, a boy struggling with his recent move to the strange town of Redhaven, who sets out on a mission to find his older brother Finn after he mysteriously disappears in the lead up to Halloween, with everyone seemingly forgetting he ever existed.
Featuring in the cast are Bean Reid, Adeline Lo, Kevin McNulty, Bob Frazer, Matty Finochio, Seth Isaac Johnson, Kendra Anderson, Troy James, Dominic Mariche, Chase Petriw, Vera Frederickson, Rorelee Tio, and Mike Desabrais. Check out the trailer below…
“A teenager, Sam thought moving to Redhaven was the worst part—until his brother Finn vanishes and no one, not even their mom, remembers he existed. With Halloween ticking down, Sam, his friend Becka, and Rusty, the town’s most eccentric outcast, must stop a harvest curse before Finn is lost forever.”
R.L. Stine’s Pumpkinhead premieres on October 17th.
