June 8, 2021 by Andrew Newton

Devolver Digital and environmentally friendly developer Free Lives have announced their reverse city building game Terra Nil will be coming to the PC in the not too distant future.  It’s also been revealed that an all new playable demo will be available on Steam from 16th June as part of the Steam Next Fest.  Watch the new reveal trailer below….

In this reverse city builder, players can begin restoring their planet’s ecosystem to its former glory.  It will be up to budding ecologists to work their way through sprawling, procedurally generated maps with the aim of rejuvenating the environment and ensuring it is suitable for the geographical regions.

Players will travel their world restoring the different regions while being mindful of the unique challenges that will be faced by making it suitable for the various flora and fauna that is found there. Everything on the world will live and breath and rely on players to ensure their future.

Thanks to the game’s open-ended strategy, players will progress through a number of stages including cleaning the water system and purifying the soil so plants can bgin to grow.

Head on over to Steam and add Terra Nil to your Wishlist.  Look out for the game’s demo from 16th June.
