Rumour: Obi-Wan Kenobi Star Wars TV series to feature two different time periods

September 2, 2020 by Samuel Brace

A new rumour claims to shed some light on what the story of Disney+’s Obi-Wan Kenobi Star Wars show will entail.

The announced Obi-Wan Kenobi show for Disney+ is one of Star Wars fans’ most anticipated next projects. While we know Ewan McGregor will be reprising the lead role, we don’t know anything about the show’s story.

Well, a new rumour from Kessel Run Transmissions (via Star Wars News Net) might have given us a few exciting details. Apparently the show will be set across two different time periods, one back during the height of the Clone Wars and the other shortly after Order 66.

According to the report, in the Clone Wars flashbacks, Commander Cody (Temuera Morrison) and Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) will both make an appearance and in the post Order 66 time period, Darth Vader will be present.

The rumour doesn’t state what the flashbacks will be about specifically but the main narrative of the present will be about the Empire hunting for Obi-Wan.

This is all very exciting but, of course, this is just a rumour at this point. The chance to see Obi-Wan and Anakin during the Clone Wars again, however, is tantalising, to say the least.
