Rumours suggest at least two new seasons of Twin Peaks

April 17, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Back in 2014, it was confirmed that David Lynch and Mark Frost would be heading back to Twin Peaks courtesy of Showtime, for what was initially announced as a nine episode limited series.

That number was extended to an unspecified amount of episodes back in May of last year, and now after a mammoth 140-day shoot, it seems we may be getting two new seasons of the cult show, or possibly even more.

The following tweet was posted by Go For Locations – an account which has been reliable with its info on the production – before being removed; check it out via WelcomeToTwinPeaks…

Twin Peaks is set to air in early 2017, with Kyle MacLachlan reprising the role of Agent Dale Cooper. He is rumoured to be joined in the reunion by many returning stars such as Sherilyn Fenn (Audrey Horne), Sheryl Lee (Laura Palmer), Madchen Amick (Shelly Johnson), David Patrick Kelly (Jerry Horne), Richard Beymer (Ben Horne), Miguel Ferrer (Albert Rosenfield), Dana Ashbrook (Bobby Briggs), Michael Horse (Tommy ‘Hawk’ Hill), Ray Wise (Leland Palmer), Grace Zabriskie (Sarah Palmer), Peggy Lipton (Norma Jennings), Everett McGill (Ed Hurley), Wendy Robie (Nadine Hurley), James Marshall (James Hurley), Al Strobel (Mike, the One-Armed Man), Kimmy Robertson (Lucy Moran), Harry Goaz (Deputy Andy Brennan), Charlotte Stewart (Betty Briggs), Gary Hershberger (Mike Nelson), Jan D’Arcy (Sylvia Horne) and Harry Dean Stanton (Carl Rodd) and David Lynch (Gordon Cole).

New additions to the Twin Peaks population, including Amanda Seyfried, Ashley Judd, Naomi Watts, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Laura Dern, Robert Knepper, James Belushi, Tom Sizemore, Balthazar Getty, Grant Goodeve, Larry Clarke, David Dastmalchian, Patrick Fischler and Caleb Landry Jones.
