Ryan Coogler’s upcoming thriller, which has largely been shrouded in secrecy, has begun filming. The film, rumoured to be a supernatural thriller, will reunite Coogler with his Creed and Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan.
The news was announced by the film’s cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw when he shared a photo of the film’s slate to his Instagram account. However, he censored the film’s title, adding to the secrecy of the project.
Jordan will star alongside Jack O’Connell, Hailee Steinfeld, Delroy Lindo, Jayme Lawson, Omar Benson Miller and Wunmi Mosaku in the unknown film. It will be released on March 7, 2025 by Warner Bros.
The film has been written by Coogler and he will produce alongside Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian. Coogler is also set to direct and produce the Black Panther spin-off series Eyes of Wakanda for Disney+, though when production may begin on that series is unknown at this time as Coogler has other productions seemingly lined up once he completes this mystery film.
