Scoot McNairy joins Amy Adams in Nightbitch

June 28, 2022 by Ricky Church

It has been a couple years since Amy Adams was first cast in Nightbitch, but the film is finally back on track as Variety reports that Scoot McNairy (Narcos: Mexico) has joined her in the cast.

Nightbitch follows Adams as “a suburban mom thrown into the stay-at-home routine of raising a toddler. As she embraces the feral power deeply rooted in motherhood, she becomes increasingly aware of the bizarre and undeniable signs that she may be turning into a dog.”

McNairy will play Adams’ “oft-traveling husband.”

Nightbitch is an adaptation of Rachel Yoder’s debut novel with Marielle Heller (Can You Ever Forgive Me?) directing from a script she also wrote. The film is being developed by Searchlight Pictures and Annapurna with Defiant By Nature, Bond Group and Archer Gray Productions producing.

Nightbitch will be released on Hulu in the US and other streaming platforms worldwide.
