Solo Leveling: ARISE adds Baran, the Demon King with new story content update

September 13, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Netmarble has released a brand-new update for Solo Leveling: ARISE, bringing lots of new content, including a new story update, new hunters, new events and in-game improvements.  In the new story content, players will encounter the formidable Baran, the Demon King.  You can see more of Baran in the new trailer below….

In this first Grand update players can now attempt Main Story chapters 19 and 20, where they will experience story highlights from the original webtoon and face off against the fearsome Baran the Demon King. Those expecting this boss battle to be easy will be surprised, this will be one that is every bit as epic as when Sung Jinwoo faced him in the webtoon.  Talking of Sung Jinwoo, his max level has been expanded to Lv. 90, the maximum Activity Fund Tier extended to Tier 43 and Gate Difficulty extended to Difficulty 38.  The new Shadow Soldier Bigrock is also on the way.

Two new hunters will be available to players, available from today is Harper, a Dark-element SSR Tank.  Harper is well known in Hunter circles for her hammer skills when getting up close and personal with her enemies.  Harper’s sister, Charlotte, will become available to use from 19th September and is a Dark-element mage who uses magic dolls during combat. Exclusive weapons are also coming for the new hunters with ‘Mischievous’ available for Harper and ‘Prankster’ for Charlotte.

In-game improvements include allowing players to experience fresh Instance Dungeons and Encore Missions, enhancements to Battlefield of Time Mode, Power of Destruction Mode and the Guild system.

To celebrate this first Grand update, Solo Leveling: ARISE will run several events. These are:

  • Full Moon! Check-In Gift (12th September – 3rd October): Receive various rewards including Rate Up Draw Tickets by logging into the game during the event period.
  • Full Moon Daily Missions (12th September – 3rd October): Clear daily missions to obtain [Hunter] Mana Power Elixir III, Mana-imbued Fabric and more.
  • Full Moon Collection Event (12th September – 3rd October): Clear Gates, Instance Dungeons and Encore Missions to earn event items that can be exchanged for valuable rewards such as Mana Power Extract.

Log in to Solo Leveling: ARISE now and take part in the events.
