Spider-Man 3 puts out casting call for a courtroom scene and sends the web into a spin

February 23, 2021 by Matt Rodgers

You might be wondering why news of a mundane location based casting call would warrant a story for a film that has been the subject of some of the most exciting Multiverse rumours of the last few months. Well, it’s the connotations that come with the news that Spider-Man 3, under one of its working titles ‘The November Project’, has put out a casting call for a courtroom scene, and many believe that this can only mean one thing: someone requires the services of a certain Matt Murdock.

Rumours have been emanating from Hell’s Kitchen for a while that Charlie Cox could reprise his role as the man without fear, and Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige remained rather coy when asked about the possibility of characters from the Netflix’s Marvel line-up making the leap to the MCU.

Tom Holland has already called the Jon Watts-directed threequel “the most ambitious standalone superhero movie ever made”, so introducing Cox’s Daredevil into proceedings would certainly bolster that claim considering the confirmed – Alfred Molina’s Otto Octavius, Jamie Foxx’s Electro – and rumoured – Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Men – line-up for the December 17th release.

Do you think this kind of news should be held in contempt of court, or do you think this all but confirms the appearance of Matt Murdock? As always, please let us know by visiting our social channels @FlickeringMyth…

The Untitled Spider-Man Sequel is slated for release on December 17th 2021 and sees Jon Watts (Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home) directing Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Zendaya (MJ), Marisa Tomei (Aunt May), Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds), Tony Revolori (Flash Thompson), Jamie Foxx (Electro) and Alfred Molina (Doctor Octopus).
